We have made it to Virginia! (Way over due post)

Here is our house in Virginia

It sits up on a hill and we have a very steep driveway.

This caused some issues for the movers.

They decided it was too much work to bring everything up the driveway by hand.

So they got a smaller truck and moved everything to that truck and drove it to the top of our driveway.

Let me tell you, It was quite the process.

Roxy waiting on the movers.

It took all day, but they managed to unload the truck and now we get to start unpacking!

Heather and I are here for a few more days before we head out to DC for the CTMH convention.

We will fly back to SLC, I will get the Girls and bring them to our new home!

I have to apologize for the very long post

You see this was my very first trip to the

Big Apple

And I was oh so excited!

This is a very small group of pictures from our trip!

We started out our day by going on a Bus, Boat and Walking Tour of the city.

It was a 6 hour tour and we got to see lots of fun stuff.

I can't remember why Brooke was upset....... but she cried most of the time we were on the boat.

This was by far my favorite part of the tour.

I have always wanted to see Lady Liberty!

We will have to make a special trip and go to see her.

They even have tours where you get to go inside!

I want to do that!

She is just awesome!

It gave me goosebumps to be so close!

On Sunday we took the girls to see

Wicked on Broadway

It was so Awesome!!!

Every bit as good as they said it was going to be!

On our last day we had the girls pictures drawn by the street vendor.

I think it turned out really nice.

We stayed at the Hilton Times Square

It was so nice and we had a very nice room and great service!

And no trip to NYC would be complete without

a picture of the HOT Officers!

They were always out on the streets and there were some of them were very nice looking.

All in all it was a great trip to NYC and we can't wait to go back!

Moving right along..........

So the night before we left the kids (with the help of Dad and Brother)

caught a darling lizard. We let them keep him for the night and then

let him go the next day.

We have moved!

Pumpkin Dinner

Ingredients

Small to med sized pumpkins

we used 5

1-2 lbs Hamburger

chopped celery

chopped onion

salt and pepper

mushrooms

1 can cream of chicken soup

2 cups cooked rice

about 1/2 cup brown sugar

2-4 tbsp soy sauce

chopped green peppers ( I left them out)

Cut lid of pumpkin and clean it out.

In a large skillet brown hamburger, onion, salt and pepper

(I also added garlic salt and Mrs. Dash)

drain and add chopped veggies

Mix in cream of chicken soup, cooked rice, brown sugar

and soy sauce (i mixed brown sugar and soy sauce in a

blow and then poured it over the top)

Mix everything together and put them in the pumpkins

Place pumpkins on a foil lined cookie sheet

Bake 350 for 1 1/2 hours.

We have tried a number of times to teach the girls

to ride their bikes without their training wheels

but every time they give up and we put them back on.

So today we tried again and they got it!

Kimberly right off the bat had it down! It was so cute!

Brooke had a hard time and wanted to give up!

But after a few days and seeing her little sister doing it

she decided to get back on and do it too!

It was so much fun to see them so proud of what they have done.

So there was this very cool barn by Chad and Lucy's house

so everyday I kept saying I am going to take the girls down there

and take pictures. It is prefect and worn so very cool.

What do you know the day I get everyone all ready and go down there

they decide to paint the cool old barn. So I had to work around them on the side

that hadn't been painted! Just my luck I tell you.

In the end I did get a few pictures that I was very happy with.

Kyrie's Wedding

I was able to make a quick trip to SLC for

Kyrie and Boyd's wedding last month.

Flat Stanley and I went on a plane from

Tucson, AZ to Salt Lake City, Utah.

We got in late at night and went right to bed.

We got up bright and early and got ready to

go to a Wedding.

A trip to Utah wouldn't be complete

without ski trip, Utah is famous for

it's snow. They were the host for the

2002 Winter Olympics.

Flat Stanley Came to Visit

Hello Brianna!

Flat Stanley came to visit us here in Tucson AZ.

We went for a walk and showed him all of the

plants you find here in the desert. He told me his favorite

was the Sahuaro Cactus. So we had to take a picture by one.

Flat Stanley even went to Multicultural Night at our school.

He Made lots of new friends
here is our Vice Principal.

He watched the performance with lots of dancing and singing.

He went to play with the Kindergarten Teachers.

And played on the US Map.

We ran the 5k today. It was my first time running a race

and it went well. Russ stayed with me and we did it in 36 mins.
